4.9% of citizens unemployed in Sequoyah County in 2021

Sequoyah County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 790 people out of the 39,652 living in Sequoyah County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Sequoyah County has decreased compared to the 5.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Sequoyah County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5%.

Of the 15,226 people who had a job during that time, 49 were employed in the Armed Forces and 15,177 belonged to the civilian labor force.
