Northeastern State University Women's Basketball faces Missouri Western

Northeastern State women's basketball closes out a short two-game road trip Monday at Missouri Western. 

The RiverHawks (4-6, 1-5 MIAA) have lost five consecutive games.  NSU led by one at the half on Saturday at Northwest Missouri, but the Bearcats took advantage of a sluggish third quarter and won 67-55.  Courtney Lee led NSU with 19 points in the setback.   

Missouri Western (11-4, 5-2 MIAA) has won four straight games; the Griffons' last game was a 96-51 home win over Rogers State.  They are averaging nearly 80 points per game, second most in the MIAA, with two players averaging over 16 points per game.

Courtney Lee has led the team in either points or rebounding in all but one game this season.  The sophomore paces the team in scoring (14.5 ppg) and averages 7.5 rebounds per game.  Ashton Hackler averages 13.6  points per game and is second in the MIAA in free-throw percentage (87.0).

The RiverHawks trail the series 6-9 over the Griffons and are 2-6 in St. Joseph.
