The NCAA announced Wednesday that Northeastern State women's soccer team is among ten teams in the Central Region under consideration for this season's national tournament.
The release is the first of three pre-tournament polls and lists teams alphabetically.
Seven teams in the MIAA are listed in the poll, with eight teams from the region being selected to help make the field of 56 for the NCAA Tournament.
Tournament winners from the Great American Conference (GAC), Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), and MIAA have an automatic berth by winning their conference tournament. Five teams will be selected as at-large bids.
Northeastern State closes out its regular season at home with two matches this weekend. The RiverHawks will host Newman this Friday at 7 p.m. and then Rogers State on Sunday for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
