Cherokee County ranked 61st in Oklahoma for resident earnings in 2019

Cherokee County ranked 61st among counties in Oklahoma by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Cherokee County residents was $22,142 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 16,665 households with a population of 48,664.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Canadian County with $33,213 per year after adjusting for inflation – $11,071 more than Cherokee County. It had 44,906 households with a population of 140,455.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Greer County with $19,174 per year after adjusting for inflation – $2,968 less than Cherokee County. It had 2,054 households with a population of 5,861.
