Northeastern State women’s golf opens its season Tuesday with the Central Region Preview in Blue Springs, Mo., at the par-72 Adams Point Golf Club.

The two-round 36-hole tournament is hosted by Southwestern Oklahoma and is the first of five fall events for the RiverHawks.

The RiverHawks finished sixth in this event in 2019 and tied for third place one season ago.  Current NSU graduate assistant Kaylee Petersen led the team with a t6 finish (149) at the event.

NSU men’s golf alumni Brad Fleetwood has hosted the annual opening event on the RiverHawks’ schedule for seven of the previous eight years.  The lone exception was Fall 2021, when athletics was on a pauce due to the COIVD-19 pandemic.

Northeastern State is picked to finish in fifth place in the MIAA following a season where they qualified for its 20th NCAA postseason berth.
