Northeastern State landed tournament-high three eagles Monday at the Shangri-La Country Club and is in sixth place at the MSSU Men’s Fall Invitational, shooting a 600 (299-301).

Sophomore Christian Yanovitch had the most consistent day carding a 74 and 75 on the par 72 course and is tied for 18th overall.

The RiverHawks hovered around the same spot on the leaderboard for most of the day, and they got a stellar two-under-par (70) score from Brett Wilcoxen in the morning round.   He matched a career-low score and eagled the 16th pin.   Wilcoxen would have an uneven day and carded an 83 on his second go-around placing in a tie for 39th place.

Carlos Gomez eagled on the fourth pin in the afternoon round and is tied for 24th place, shooting a 150 (77-73).

Jordan Allaire matched Wilcoxen’s two-round score scoring an 80 and 73.  Parker Rose also had an eagle on the 16th pin and shot a 162 (84-78).

Missouri-St. Louis leads the 19-team field by three shots over Oklahoma Christian.

The RiverHawks will wrap up the tournament Tuesday, with the final round starting at 8:16 a.m.
