A Ribbon Cutting was held by the Grove Area Chamber Ambassadors on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at BOOM On Grand, located on the rooftop of The Regatta on Grand Restaurant. Owned by Marc Newman and Teresa Poindexter, the BBQ, pizza and wings restaurant has been a 3-year long project for the couple. BOOM was originally the outdoor patio for The Regatta Restaurant but, between the unpredictable Oklahoma weather and Grove’s need for a Sports Bar, the owners decided the space could be more useful as a second restaurant. Diners at BOOM enjoy 30 tv screens (including the giant 14’ x 8’ big screen), cornhole, Golden Tee, pinball and an unforgettable view of Grand Lake. The name “BOOM” comes from an important part of a sail and is inspired by the Grove landmark Sailboat Bridge. Marc and Teresa are very proud of their facilities and crew and have plans for more projects in the future.

Ambassadors attending the Ribbon Cutting are Jay Alexander, Grand Savings Bank; Judi Johnson, McGraw Realtors – Grand Lake; Jamie Johnson – Grove Nursing Center; Nick Bowers, BOLT Fiber Optic Services; Jacob Wallace, Grand Savings Bank; Ken Noteboom, Individual Member; Myra Noteboom, Individual Member; AmeriSpec Inspection Services – Todd Franke; Louise Templin, Individual Member; Hannah Meeker, Grand Lake Family YMCA; Shari Cox, Grove’s Royal liquor; Angela Hamilton, Grand River Abstract & Title Co; Rob Cunningham, ATMS Consulting; Michelle Stevens-Holt, Cole Organization and Cassie Rentfrow, Tristate Ins of Grove

Also pictured are Brent Malone, Grove Convention & Tourism Bureau; Austin Bailey, BOOM General Manager; Jeramiah Young, BOOM Pitmaster; Stacy Snider, BOOM Marketing and Design and Connie King, Grove Area Chamber of Commerce Vice-President.
